Pe final post.

Participation:
I love pe. I try to always participate, but I will admit I have caught myself standing around in the past. Though I have learned from my experiences. I am always there, and I always come in strip. I only have one or two absences, on days of illness, or other extra curricular activities. During activities I like to have fun with my friends, and smile. I like to think it's not all about winning, but mostly having fun and trying your best. I learned from times that I didn't go 100%, because it wasn't affecting anyone else but myself. Going 100% and participating , gives a lot more of a satisfying feeling.

Social responsibility and contribution to the class: I like to help out when setting up and cleaning up, I ussually pick up a couple of cones or balls along with my peers in the class. I also set up the capture the flag game on the day we cleaned up the environment and picked up garbage. (Without being asked)

At the beggining of the year I didn't know half the people in our class. Luckily, we have a great class full of kind, and open people. Who are passionate about their health and also the well being of others. Talking to the kids in the class made me more social, and improved my people skills. I learned by watching them too. From the way people blog, I picked up a few tricks and ideas. For example Ashley, she's very quiet in class but boy has she got a lot running through her mind. Her blog is great and I like the way she talks about what she likes and doesn't like about certain activities we do. That was a great idea I got from her, and I started to do that in some of my posts. Not only her but I learned from many more, and hopefully others may have learned from me. I like to show how I'm a leader and an active student out of school.

I'm not the best at basket ball, or soccer. Or most things too do with balls, but I love to try them. Speedball, is a great example! I may not be amazing but I'm sure great a cheering my peers on. (Ask Seth and Kevin, for proof)

Healthy living:

I made a goal to get more flexible at the beginning of this year. And that goal I acheived. Though I had a few injuries from over stretching and dance and figureskating, I've now learned new ways to stretch, and since I'm more flexible I don't ussually hurt my self anymore.

Diet, food options:

Here are a few of the many pictures I've blogged, of my healthy diet. I don't just eat healthy because I have too, I actually love healthy food. I would prefer it over fast food anyday. That's just me.

Fitness: my fitness is not constant. I have my days where I'm very good and days where I'm shocked at my result because I have done better in the past. (Ignoring days of girl issues) the days where I did extremely well in fitness and achieved goals, prove that I could have done better on others. I have the potential, and tip to myself for next year is to always try, because you are only benefiting yourself.

Here are only a few, from the many fitness posts I have done. As u can see I do have my ups and downs, but I am honest in how I worked, and if I know I didn't go full out I admit. But also, when I did go full out I reflected on the satisfaction and proudness in myself.

Goals: in school, for next year I wanna work towards always going 100%. I taught myself a lesson this year without even knowing it. On days I went all out I felt so great and so proud. When I didn't, I knew I could have done better. But one can only learn from their mistakes, and I'm proud to say I still think I did very well this year and hope to further improve.

Outside of school, I am doing great with achieving goals! Infact I've moved up a skill and free skate level in figure skating, and am planning to start a solo, which I will post on my blog next year during competition season! In dance I improved so much in flexibility which was also partially from my weight room activities and extra curricular in school. I'm a very proud to say I am in a good shape to achieve my long term goals.

Digital portfolio:

Here are a few examples from the many blog posts I have. As displayed, you can see I post about fitness, regular class, class leadership, videos on YouTube, and my individual sports out side of school. I have many more of these but these few sum up a lot of how I feel about the class, and my health.

My personal addition to this post:
What I've learned from mr. Neuf, not everyone is a natural athletic person. Not everyone is born with the ability to run a 14 on the beep test. Or too hit a home run in softball. But you don't have to be the best at sports aslong as you try your best and keep the right attitude. This is called physical education not "who's the best at every sport in the world". We come to school to learn and trying a new thing never hurt. I know I'm not the best soccer player, or batter, or shooter. But I'm the best at trying.
Overall I think I deserve an A.

Dance volunteer

Every Wednesday and Sunday I vonunteer 2-3 hours of my time teaching and helping people dance. This is for my Bollywood school, and keeps me very fit and also contributes to the community. I enjoy this because I love helping, but it's hard because it's in downtown and one is in northvan. And I teach late hours so I end up home around 11pm or 12am. But anyways here a pic of me before dance :)
